Regional winners are eligible for scholarships and cash prizes, are part of the exhibition at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, are invited to participate in an awards ceremony at the museum, and have their work sent to New York City for national judging.

Exhibition, Publication, and Scholarship Opportunities, and More: In Junestudents who receive National Gold Medals along with their families, teachers and celebrities, will congregate at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City for a celebration of their artistic and literary accomplishments.

The Awards honor exemplary artworks by students in 7th through 12th grades by recognizing their outstanding achievements in a competitive annual exhibition and providing cash prizes and scholarship opportunities.

At each level of judging, all works are selected to move on to the next stage based on the same three criteria that have represented the program since its founding in All works are evaluated through a series of blind adjudication, first on a regional level by more than local affiliates of the Alliance and then nationally by an impressive panel of creative-industry experts.

More than 2, entries in a wide variety of categories, including painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, sculpture, graphic design, film, fashion, as well as senior art portfolios are judged by a panel of judges over the course of several days.
